This time, I will write an article about Shirakawain.
Please read this if you are considering photo shoots in Kyoto.
There are several places in Kyoto where location photography is permitted, including parks, temples, shrines, and Japanese gardens.
I'm sure there are some customers who are wondering, "Where on earth would I be most satisfied with taking pictures?"
This time, I would like to introduce Shirakawain that I recommend.
-About Shirakawain-
Shirakawain is an inn located in Kyoto City.
The garden, which takes Higashiyama as a borrowed scenery, is the work of Jihei Ogawa VII.
It is located near Heian Shrine, a popular shrine.
Access: 15 minutes walk from Higashiyama Station or Keage Station on the subway line.
-Advantages of location photography at Shirakawain-
I would like to introduce you to the shooting here.
1. Beautiful greenery in spring and autumn leaves in autumn for photography
The fresh green garden is beautiful.
In summer, the vibrant greenery is beautiful.
In autumn, the autumn leaves are spectacular.
2. Photoshoots only gardens, you can shoot at a low price.
When taking photos at temples, etc., usage fees may be expensive.
When you get a quote, you may be surprised at the price.
If you are only in the garden, you can take photos for a facility usage fee of 5,000 yen.
Photography in the Japanese-style room is available for an additional fee of 35,000 yen.
3. Not crowded
Advance reservations are required for the garden and tatami room, so it won't be crowded.
Recommended for customers who want to take photos in Kyoto's beautiful gardens without worrying too much about tourists.
4. Photoshoots with autumn leaves
Many locations such as temples in Kyoto cannot be photographed during the autumn leaves season.
There are very few places in Kyoto where you can rent private photo shoots during the autumn leaves season.
This is especially recommended if you want to photoshoots in your own private space during the fall foliage season in Kyoto.
I feel that the maples in the garden rarely change color at the same time.
5. All the staff at Shirakawain are kind.
Shirakawain is a place that I can recommend with confidence.
Not only is the location beautiful and the ability to take photos at a leisurely pace, but you can also experience the kindness and hospitality of the staff.

Now, Shirakawain is wonderful, but I would like to inform you of some points that customers who are considering taking pictures should be aware of.
1. Advance reservation required
This place requires advance reservations.
2. Construction
Construction of the gate will continue for approximately nine months starting in June 2024.
During the construction period, it is highly likely that you will not be able to take photos with the gate in the background.
