Kyoto photo shoot in Arashiyama

Hello.

I am Yusuke Kawakami, a photographer from Kansai Musubu Photo, who does location photography in Kyoto and other Kansai regions.

This time, I will write an article about Arashiyama.

Please read this if you are considering photo shoots in Kyoto.

There are several places in Kyoto where location photography is permitted, including parks, temples, shrines, and Japanese gardens.

I'm sure there are some customers who are wondering, "Where on earth would I be most satisfied with taking pictures?"

This time, I would like to introduce Arashiyama area that I recommend.

-What is Arashiyama-

Arashiyama is a mountain located in the western part of Kyoto City.

Generally, the area on both banks of the Katsura River is called Arashiyama.

It is often featured on social media and the media, and many of our customers may know that it has Togetsukyo Bridge and Bamboo forest.

For access, the nearest stations are Arashiyama Station on the Hankyu Line, JR Saga Arashiyama Station, and Arashiyama Station on the Keifuku Line.

-Advantages of location photography in Arashiyama-

I would like to introduce shooting in this area.

1. Scenic tourist destination

The Arashiyama area often appears in the media.

I think there are many customers who think, ``I want to go there at least once!''

There are many attractions in this area, including famous temples and shrines, Bamboo forest, the Katsuragawa River, and Arashiyama Park.

2. The cherry blossoms are beautiful in spring, the greenery is beautiful in summer, the leaves turn red in autumn, and you can take leisurely photos in winter.

Arashiyama in spring is beautiful.

Many cherry blossoms are planted in Arashiyama Park.

In summer, the vibrant greenery is beautiful.

In autumn, the autumn leaves are spectacular and tourists come from all over the world.

In winter, there are fewer tourists and you can enjoy taking pictures at your leisure.

3. Possible to shoot at low cost

When taking photos at temples, etc., the usage fee can be expensive, exceeding 50,000 yen.

In most cases, shooting around Arashiyama is done at a reduced price or without additional charges.

Arashiyama is wonderful, but we would like to inform you of some points that you should be aware of if you are considering taking photos.

1. There are many tourists

As it is a tourist destination, there are many tourists.

It is especially crowded during the fall foliage season.

2. It may take some time to access

In addition, traffic restrictions are in place in spring and autumn, and it may not be possible to approach the area around Arashiyama Station on the Keifuku Line by filming location car or taxi.

During the autumn foliage season, you may be stuck in traffic jams when heading to Arashiyama or returning from Arashiyama.

3. There are places where advance permission and photography fees may be required.

For photo shoot in some areas, advance application is required.

There are some temples where photography is not allowed.
