Usage flow

Time required on shooting day: about 4 and a half hours

1. Reservation

Please make a reservation.

Please also indicate whether you would like to see the furisode before the shooting day, or if you would like to decide on the furisode on the day of the shoot.

We will check the availability of the costume store and get back to you.

At some shooting locations, we ask that you pay the facility usage fee in advance.

2. Please come to the designated kimono rental store on the reservation date.

3. Selecting furisode

The furisode is made of pure silk and comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns.

The price is the same regardless of which furisode you choose.

Once you're ready, it's off to the location shoot!

Photographer will accompany you for about 120 minutes.

Please leave the pose to the photographer.

We will shoot natural smiles and smooth faces.

If you wish, we can also take a few pictures with your mobile phone.

6. Files delivery

The delivery files will adjust the brightness and color of the face.

About 120 files will be delivered by downloading from the web in about 30 days from the shooting.

Delivery is only available to areas supported by Google.

As long as the photographer is present during the time limit, there is no additional charge for shooting at two locations.

We can guide you to a variety of locations, including the popular areas with a Japanese atmosphere such as Gion Shirakawa and Yasaka Pagoda, as well as famous temples, historic shrines, Japanese gardens that can be rented for private use, hidden cherry blossom viewing spots in the suburbs, Kyoto machiya townhouses, and modern architecture.

We do not have a designated photography course, and our unique feature is that customers can freely choose the photography location .

This is recommended for customers who love Kyoto, as there are many locations to choose from for your photo shoot.

Plenty of options for shooting locations

Kansai Musubu Photo has many locations where you can take photos. Popular Gion Shirakawa is open for photography in the morning. If you wish to shoot at a location that is not listed, we will confirm that you have permission to shoot.

Possible to shoot with friends at the same time

It is also possible to take photos with friends or sisters at the same time. You can also have a plan where you rent a furisode and your friend brings their own furisode.

You can set a reserve date at the time of application.

The weather is unstable during the cherry blossom season. With the exception of some shooting locations, you can set a backup date in advance in case of rain. It is also recommended for customers who want to take photos while traveling to Kyoto.

We can accept your hair set requests.

If you have a desired hairstyle, please email us the image at least one week before the shoot and we will share it with the stylist.

There is no additional charge for not only individual shots but also family photos.

If your mother or parents are accompanying you, we will also take a family photo. There is no additional charge for family photos.

Stylish albums available

You can order an album as an option. We have Japanese-style albums and Nishijin-ori albums that are suitable for furisode photography.

There are also options for families

We offer options such as dressing your mother in a visiting costume, hair styling, full make-up, and kimono rental.

Can be photographed in many locations

As standard, it is possible to shoot at two locations in the center of Kyoto city and the Higashiyama area. Shooting in 3 or more locations is also available as an option.
