Kyoto photo shoot in Furukawamachi Bridge

Hello.

I am Yusuke Kawakami, a photographer from Kansai Musubu Photo, who does location photography in Kyoto and other Kansai regions.

This time, I will write an artic  I will write an article about Furukawamachi Bridge.

Please read this if you are considering photo shoots in Kyoto.

There are several places in Kyoto where location photography is permitted, including parks, temples, shrines, and Japanese gardens.

I'm sure there are some customers who are wondering, "Where on earth would I be most satisfied with taking pictures?"

This time, I would like to introduce the Furukawamachi Bridge area that I recommend.

-What is Furukawamachi Bridge -

Furukawamachi Bridge is a bridge located in Inaricho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City.

It is a beautiful place with willows planted along the Shirakawa River.

I would like to introduce you to some of the little-known photo shoots here, which are less visited by tourists.

-Advantages of location photography around Furukawamachi Bridge -

1. A little-known spot with swaying willows

As you can see in the photo, willows are planted along the river.

There are many locals and students, and there are few tourists.

This means you can take photos without worrying too much about tourists.

The bridge is narrow and it's a bit fun to cross.

2. Photography possible except in winter

At this location, we recommend taking photos with the willows.

In other words, in the winter when there are no willow leaves, it feels lonely and I can't really recommend it.

The best time to visit is when there is fresh greenery, but the willows are vibrant and beautiful in the summer as well.

3. Good access

It is located relatively close to the center of Kyoto, so access is not too bad.

For public transportation, the nearest station is Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Subway Line.

Now, the area around Furukawamachi Bridge is wonderful, but I would like to inform you of some points that you should be aware of if you are considering taking photos.

1. It depends on Willows

Willows may be pruned.

After pruning, the willow will lose its volume.

You will need a little luck as you cannot know when you will be selected.
